FC UNITED WILL NOW BE THE OKC STORM SOCCER TEAM.
We have recently made the decision to join forces with the OKC Storm organization in order to build a great soccer opportunity for all our players! There are so many benefits of us teaming up with the OKC Storm and it will finally enable us to launch our first high school and middle school teams in 2012. I am really excited for the future of all of our teams and homeschool soccer in the OKC metro area.
Details:
The OKC Storm soccer team will launch our program this fall with an outdoor season through the South Lakes Soccer Club. We will also play one winter indoor soccer session as well. We are currently working on the details for the spring 2012 High School and Middle School season.
Age Group and Bracket: Boys and Girls, U-16 and U-18.
Practices: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday from 7p.m. to 8:30 p.m. We meet at the Lake Overholser soccer field complex (go north on County Line Road from NW 10th Street). The soccer fields are on the southwest side of the lake.
Games (Fall): Most games will be played on Saturdays with an occasional Sunday afternoon game. Schedules will be released a week or two before the season kicks off.
Requirements: All players must commit to being at games and practices. We are also playing at a competitive soccer level (not recreational) so previous soccer experience or athletic ability is preferred.
Fees: $250 per player for the year
The fees include outdoor registration, indoor registration, referee fees, training facilities, uniform kit, training equipment, homeschool soccer tournament, insurance, and sports physical.
Athletes in other sports:
We will do our best to be flexible for players involved with other sports but we do need all players to attend as many practices as possible.
